Full Kettle produces essential oils in very small batches in a 20 gallon stainless steel wood fired distiller. These local treasures are for sale in 5mL drams at the farmers market or the online store.

Ginger Essential oil

This spicy but sweet treasure is made using organically grown ginger from Old Friends Farm in Amherst MA, the farm that has pioneered and mastered the art of Northeast Ginger. I am grateful to offer some of this supreme crop as an essential oil. It works great in body and massage oils, warming and soothing to the muscles. It has many other uses including as a digestive, anti inflammatory, anti-anxiety, and more. The aroma of this ginger is sweeter than what is found on the industrial scale, as it is made high quality, local young ginger root. I produce this oil on a small scale so supplies are limited.

Balsam Fir Essential Oil

This is one of my favorites. It has reorganized my relationship with the classic Christmas tree scent from one of nostalgia and childhood to one of deep relaxation and the stillness of winter. This is a great oil aromatherapy oil, used for meditation, respiratory health, and much more. I harvest the Balsam fir tips form Pieropan Christmas Tree Farm in Ashfield MA, a magical place that implements sustainable "stump-culture" tree management. I only harvest in the winter, when the needles have the highest and most potent oils built of from the previous season's growth.

Other oils

I am always distilling other plants for essential oils, and often have small amounts for sale. Lemongrass, Lemon Balm, Clary Sage, Lavender, Garden Sage, Rosemary, Lemon Verbena, and more. Unlike large scale distillers using mechanical harvesting and often poor quality plants, this process is done on an artisanal scale using hand harvested, locally sourced plants, in a small batch wood-fired distiller. Thus, the prices are going to be higher than what you find in the wellness section of a grocery store. The quality is beyond what I can describe. If you do end up purchasing Full Kettle oils, congratulations! I recommend you savor these rare gems for special occasions or give them as gifts to the closest people in your life!

Full Kettle Smoking Blend

All smoking blends should have a "base", a "modifier", and a flavor "enhancer". This unique blend has got 'em all. Mullein, Red Raspberry Leaf, Blue Skullcap, Catnip, Chamomile, Lavender, and Rose Petals. It also comes in this beautiful gold tin with a fancy label. Have it straight or mix it with your own special blend of herbs :)

Available through the Sweet Birch website, and at Farmer's Markets. Wholesale options email greg@fullkettle.com
